I don't know if I'd survive without a friend like you in my life.
Love you so much, JK.

You are the most playful person I know.  Our house is filled with wrestling, tickling, and tumbling every day.  This makes everyone happy.

Last night we splurged and ordered Season 2 of The Walking Dead.  It's completely worth it to feel the same scared feeling as you at the exact same moment.  I love our nights at home together, when our kids are tucked safely in bed, and we enjoy shows that belong just to us.

I love the way you...

- rub my shoulders right when I need it most without me saying a word

- include every kid who wants to play football in public swimming pools

- tell me I am beautiful when I wake up after four hours of sleep

- have deep life discussions with me in the front seat of the van

- make me laugh so hard my side hurts sitting in front of Ikea (I won't forget the old lady who thought your fake punch on Max was real for a loooooong time.)

Last night we decided it was time to give our kitchen cupboards a makeover.

We quickly found out that I was better at keeping you company than painting a clean white line. Thank you for thinking my inadequacy was cute rather than annoying.

You rocked it.  I like staring at our new cooking place with you, our ridiculous smiles unable to simmer down.  It just feels good to Kurtzify this joint.

I can always count on you for taking the hard jobs, like taking our boys to the dentist.  There's a reason they ask for you to join them.  You are brave and smart and when they are surrounded by that, they start feeling brave and smart too.

Every parent is filled with pride when they see their child's firsts.
Your heart swelled when you saw Milo's very first logo, created on the ipad.

I love that you are passing on your techy geekiness to our boys.

Thank you for planning such a great day that your boys will remember for a long time.
Sometimes I feel like I am in a Christmas movie with you.
I am excited to spend this season making more memories with the man I love.

This afternoon you hung out at home with 2/3 of the Kurtz boys while I took Caden out for some one-on-one.  I felt so lucky to be able to spend great time with him, knowing the other two were in good hands with you.

What I didn't know is that you were cooking some soup while we were gone.  Sitting on the couch with my fam, being served a delicious bowl of warm soup with a side of bread, I felt blessed.

I love how you embrace all the wonderful things of fall.

I am so glad I get to ride this seemingly endless roller coaster of life with you.  Sometimes it's freaky, sometimes thrilling.  Never boring, never predictable.  We have no idea where this track is going, but I am right by your side, screaming and laughing in your ear the entire time.

Last night you tried to fix our kitchen faucet and ended up making it scream at us.
I love laughing like crazy at the simplest things with you.
Our best times are when we are like this little guy:

Right now I really, really want a Coke.  There is one in our fridge just waiting for me.  But it would be a horrible choice. The thing that is keeping me from making that horrible choice is remembering this morning when you made a healthy choice.  When you take care of your own body, you inspire me to do the same.

Water it is.
I love you.

There were many parts about today that I liked.

Football-shaped pumpkin pancakes.
Playing with my boys with the game in the background.
The yummiest fall soup I have ever tasted.
Time to myself to fold laundry and blog.
Dinner out at Five Guys.
Stinky Cheese Board Game with our oldest two.
Watching a scary zombie show.

Do you realize none of these things would be possible without you?
You make my days full of all kinds of good.
