Last night I was cleaning up from dinner and preparing for my special movie night with a couple best friends in our living room.  You went outside for awhile and I realized you were sweeping the walk up to our porch for my guests.

Thank you for thinking of the little things that added up to a fun evening for me.  I am pretty sure that's what Advent Conspiracy means when they say "make love visible through relational giving".

I am so glad you aren't too macho to watch White Christmas with me.
I have been looking forward to it all day!

When you do the dishes at midnight just because you know I hate waking up to a messy kitchen...that is true love.

Thank you for always looking for ways to make my life easier.

I gave you my Zooey Deschanel impression this morning,
but I'm afraid it just didn't cut it.

So I bought the album for you (and me) instead.

Celebrating this season with you is the best.

Pretty sure you could and would pick up any tree I chose in the forest.
You are rugged.

You are the Master of Analogies.  You often have the perfect way to describe something big or little in life.  I then think about these analogies throughout my weeks and use them to understand.

The other day you told me part of parenting is like making your way from one end of monkey bars to the other.  In order to get to the next bar, you have to let go of the one behind you.  It's a constant letting go and grabbing on with this kid raising stuff.  My role seems so much more clear with this picture in my head.

I will always appreciate the way you make sense of the complicated themes life holds.

What I love: When you showed me so proudly how you used a robe from another Star Wars character to give Princess Leia her own peacoat.  She looked amazing.  It made me wonder if someday you will get to dress up Ken and Barbie with little granddaughters.

There are so many tiny moments in a day where you make me smile inside and out.

Husband, I prayed for you during your post-observation interview today.

May Jesus himself and God our Father, who reached out in love and surprised you with gifts of unending help and confidence, put a fresh heart in you, invigorate your work, enliven your speech.
