The thing about having kids is that some of the ways you show love to your spouse change.  It's not a bad thing, it's just different than life before.

Today I felt loved by you when:

You saved our boys' TV time until I got home.

You labeled Max's football video clips with cute names.

You showed Milo how to scrape the meat out of an artichoke leaf.

You excitedly dug all our camping stuff out of its hiding places in the garage.

You make traveling 20 miles outside of the city feel like a vacation.  
I love being your co-pilot.

Today I planned a family trip to the Evergreen Aviation Musuem.

Tonight you spontaneously invited a bunch of friends over to hang out at our house.

Both were equally fun.

I'm so glad I married someone completely different than me.

I have tomorrow scheduled out but I'm still waiting to see what you come up with. 

You MASTERED barbecued teriyaki chicken tonight.  
Our backyard dinners will never be the same.

You tackled our nasty bathroom and made the pee smell disappear.  

Don't be surprised if you find me sneaking away to just hide in here for awhile now.

Sometimes when we go around a corner in the swagger wagon, you put your hand on my shoulder to keep me from tipping over.  Thanks for always adding balance to my life.

Thank you so much for going to the hospital to be with my dad today. I am sure it meant a lot to him to have someone by his side.  It meant a lot to me too.

Whenever I have the chance to go out with the girls you encourage me to make it happen.  There are so many reasons I could come up with why I should stay home, but you push me to do what's good for my mental health.  As soon as I am out the door, I am always glad I have gone.

Tonight you are out helping a friend move, which is awesome.  But it makes me realize how one of the best parts of summer is spending our evenings together.  Just being in the same room, doing all the things that end a day, brings about a feeling of home inside me.
