Without flinching you pick me up necessities from Target that guys don't like to even think about.

Husband, I know it unsettles you when I am telling a story about my day and I can't help but deliver it in a dramatic reenactment.

You put up with a lot sometimes.

Whether overt or subtle, you continually create teachable moments with our boys.

They are so lucky to have a dad who cares enough to stop and teach.

There was this girl who stepped in poop.  

Why she didn't think to avoid it we don't know.

There was this boy who helped her wipe off the poop.

She'll stick with him wherever he may go.

This morning you are attending the funeral of a very sweet lady who was important to you in your growing up years.  You could have stayed home to relax, read, play with your boys, or watch TV.  But you did what your gut was telling you and traveled up to Portland to honor her.  

I'm pretty sure that Ildra's kind, gentle, non-judging spirit helped form you into the man you are today.  Good call on taking the road requiring more effort today. 

Lately I have been doing my best to fix you complete, healthy meals.
